What Every Creative Can Learn From Dapper Dan

At its core, art is communication. The form, whether it be writing, painting, or designing, is merely the vehicle the artist uses to communicate.

Entrusted with this gift of vision. The ability to see the blind spots of humanity. We are creatives.

With great power comes great responsibility. As a result, we must master the essence of communication to accurately translate our ideas, thoughts, and vision to the world.

Early into my writing journey, I rumbled with where and how my writing gift came from. It didn’t make sense how a historical weakness of mine could be apart of my future.

Until I had a revaluation that transformed my perspective on writing, I realized that writing was communicating my ideas. I know it seems simple, but I realized that writing was not the issue. The problem was my unrefined perspective on many of the topics I wrote about.
